MMHF Scholarship Project
In 2010, the Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) established a scholarship fund to give orphans and vulnerable youth in southwestern Uganda an opportunity to obtain their nursing degrees and serve their communities with much-needed basic healthcare. The Foundation is affiliated with the Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute (MMMTI), where scholarship recipients enroll in 2 or 3 year nursing programs. Thanks to the support through Global Giving, the fund received donations worth over USD 15,000.The contributions have enabled us to extend scholarships to 18 students, ensuring that they have the funds to complete their 2 or 3 year nursing course. But the demand for tuition support is still enormous, with 28 more eligible students awaiting funding. We invite more donations to consider supporting the education of another student in any small way that you can in this noble cause.

Above is a picture showing the dummy cheque of the donations for scholarships after presentation.
What a joy it was on the official handing over to the beneficiary institution.
